I have used Chris Blance’s mnemonics approach for phonics. Bought her book. Look up on u- tube . A game changer! Phonic rules is not good enough for spelling as doesn’t get dyslexics very far as so many words are irregular and there are so many rules to learn. Besides that, many have auditory processing difficulties so phonic rules are not very helpful.
