If you don’t adapt the curriculum how are you giving them the knowledge they need to succeed? They need to learn to read at a very basic level, count with secure 1:1 correspondence, recognise numerals 1-20, and do basic addition /subtraction to live independently. Sitting in lessons whilst others learn about equations and omnipotent narrators is not going to help them do that.
