Hi – if they advised use of an overlay/ coloured glasses and gave colour then just use that. It’s a visual issue that is corrected by the above. Newham sensory team was at the forefront of this work and both.my sons had it. The glasses worked. It is not any form of dyslexia.
If they didn’t advise a colour over lay or lenrs, then it is easy to assess once you have been shown by someone trained, or your LA sensory team
You do not need a file note or to justify use of overlays if it’s NWW. You don’t get extra time -but they can have rest breaks.
