The role as strategic lead for SEND can take so many forms and depends on school set up/ if a MAT etc. Some strategic leads oversee large qualities of schools with a MAT and might be regionally based or national. Others might be on SLT within their school and overseeing staff therefore take the title as strategic lead. It can vary massively but ultimately you are driving positive change across a provision (exactly what a SENCo might do as the SENCo is a strategic position anyway!). Seems to be the ‘in trend’ tile at the moment! Use your experience as SENCo as that will speak for itself.
