I also had to attend one and felt very nervous. As the other posts say, it is not quite as you think it will be when you get there. Everyone is working in the best interests of the child and it is a very ordered proceeding and (in my case) was not even in an officious courtroom setting either. They will already have the key information presented to them, so you only need to confirm the facts. Also, you will only speak when/if they ask you a question to clarify points. It really is quite an insightful experience to add to your repetoire! P.s my advice is that ‘less is best’ so just respond directly and concisely.
