My SENCO is also Deputy and she covers in our two reception classes once a week not only to cover PPA but as that’s where a fair few of our children are needing some extra support so she can see how they’re doing. There’s a lot of intervention pieces in place for the children so she tries to catch up with the class teachers and intervention/learning mentors to see how they’re getting on Weekly and visits the other children on the SEN register whenever it fits in with class teachers and whenever she can.
