Impulse control one of my schools uses the term ‘stop button’ and we do a lot of work around practising using your stop button – for example in PE running then stopping or using music then stop. We also use it during things the kids really like e.g. messy play and I sometimes use it with favourite foods too – so let’s see if you can use your stop button and not eat the chocolate for 1 minute.
