    There’s lots of lovely positive comments in here. There are so many things to consider – but I think school should be led by the children and families saying it was helpful! For me it’s only segregation if they don’t have the choice whether to go there or be with the larger group. But if it is there, and they choose to come, and say it’s great, then surely that is your answer! The lunch hall/playground just doesn’t meet every child’s needs and it make total sense to have a low arousal option. I was so lucky to have gone to a school where the library was always open at lunch time as an option if you didn’t want to be on the playground, and I have never understood why all schools don’t have a quiet option here.
