    If he was given a fidget toy, and you take this chewy away, will there be a replacement fidget object as I assume you felt he needed something?

    Chewing is common in sensory processing scenarios (hence chewy toys being available).

    I would suggest something like the Derbyshire Sensory Processing Toolkit to dig s bit deeper into possible sensory needs. If there are no sensory needs why did the child need a fidget in the first place? What was the rationale?
