    If he has a medical diagnosis then use a Form 9, not a Form 8. No evidence from psychometric tests is needed if there is a medical diagnosis from a specialist (obviously it has to be related to his need for exam access)!
    However, more than 25% extra time must be needed due to his disability. You can make it his normal way of working, if you support this.
    It is your decision, not parents. If his typing speed is good and he would be given an unfair advantage with more than 25% extra time, this is your judgement call. If you have consulted teachers and you think typing and 25% extra time enables him to show his ability then SLT should back you up.
