Speech and language therapist here. There are often very long wait times to get a speech and language therapy assessment unfortunately, but he is well worth discussing with the therapist at your next liaison meeting and getting the paperwork ready for referral. When you put in the evidence that you do have, then you can always say what stage of the referral process to SALT he is at, and can give reasons (e.g. long wait times) if he has not been seen as yet.

If there is any advice that you have followed from SALT so far, or interventions, it is worth describing these, saying how long you have been following the advice (longer the better) and what has not been successful as well. It is worth mentioning his language needs in Romanian (as reported by parents) and English, social communication difficulties and the impact on his learning and relationships with peers/adults.
