The NASENCO is a ‘National Award’ that is in line with a postgraduate course – so the modules you are assessed on are equivalent to Masters credits and it can often be transferred to a full MA. This means that the reading and writing that you have to do to pass the course are of a much more academic level.

The new NPQs do not have a university level equivalent, but from my experience they are much more accessible and user friendly. Everything that you need in regards to reading is supplied within the study and, though you do lots of the work on your own, you don’t have to independently find or read around much. This might be different when related to SEN but wasn’t for the NPQSL.
