    Thank you for your replies. I only heard of the diagnosis yesterday though the symptoms have been a challenge for the pupil it seems for a couple of years. He has managed well until recently, I understand. It may be that the imminent internal exams have raised his anxiety, and episodes of panic are becoming more frequent. Things came to a head when he was triggered in a maths classroom and the teacher was unaware and rather disbelieving – not good but at least now we know and can look into ways of supporting him.
    I don’t know who diagnosed or if there are other associated disorders – I’m looking into this now. I will write to Nick Lait this morning as you suggest and post again. Agreed, it is a tricky one!
