    I think it’s really important that all teams in the school are working hard to support children and not just the SENCo. Do these children have SEND needs already? I would be looking at pastoral support and universal SEMH provision. I would also be signposting parents to external agencies and support they can access. It is becoming a bit of a culture in schools (certainly secondary) where nearly everything is regarded as SEND. Feeling suicidal or having suicidal ideations is not necessarily SEND. What is your safeguarding team doing? What are form tutors/teachers etc doing to support? What are GPs doing?
