We have a transition booklet/page that we do for identified pupils – ASC and highly anxious generally. They make the booklets with a TA who goes with each child if buddy group to take photos to add to their page/booklet which has been successful and supportive.
Just general info with photos and labels like

My new teacher is …
My new TA is …
My class/ cloakroom/ learning spaces look like this….
Depending child you may add additional info – photos etc.

This is part of the transition programme linked to transition day and will continue with visits and experiences in new space until end of year.
