Without wishing to seem negative, from the research I have read, I don’t believe you can really change handwriting once they get to secondary. I would say high quality pens and paper help, encouraging children not to rush and take pride all help. But laptops are what we give to students now and it becomes their normal way of working. Ultimately, how much do we hand write in the modern world? Pick your battles and I would say hand writing may be one you won’t win.
