    Parent perspective!
My daughter (17) has visual stress diagnosed by an optometrist and has colorimetry lenses in her glasses. She still prefers to use coloured paper as well as the glasses, as even with the glasses, which are the strongest (magenta) colour she can have and would be illegal to drive in, she finds it easier to read with the pink.

We tried overlays before I got her the glasses, she didn’t find these as good as coloured paper and certainly not as good as coloured glasses plus paper.

She may have a more profound need for these than others but for her, the glasses take the glare off the world and without the pink paper, she doesn’t even attempt to read, just asks a friend to read it to her, as it takes too much cognitive effort for her to do it.
