We only allow the use of coloured paper where the need has been assessed by a specialist rather than a preference. This has helped to manage things but still have the same issue with staff managing the different colours. We found overlays work for reading needs but not for those who need coloured paper to manage their own writing – although we have had some success with moving them to writing on a word processor and changing the background colour. .
