Especially in Secondary school teachers struggle (feeling overwhelmed or having not enough time) to differentiate the lesson for SEN children in their subjects. Struggle to follow IEP recommendations, and when it becomes overwhelming they start asking what can they do with SEN kids. But they already have been having some strategies in IEPs that they don’t read. It is a kind of bad cycle.

Challenge is the increasing number of SEN children in school and not enough time to cover everyone. The challenge is to have not experienced workers in SEND direction. In that case, you need to think for them and plan everything for them.

I think SENCO should be in SLT but in my school, I am not. They often make decisions for me.
