First question: Why are YOU doing the referrals? Surely the parents can do this via their GP without bothering school.

Second: Do the children/young people actually have ADHD or are the issues to do with Working Memory / Memory for Learning issues. I often assess children who “clearly have ADHD because they are so inattentive” who, when assessed, turn out to have very poor memory.

Finally: In Norfolk ADHD referrals are taking about 9-12 months to get to triage (sometimes longer) and then 2-3 years for a diagnosis.
