I would always start with a focus on what I expect to see in the classroom. Do you have a student passport or profile which communicates needs and strategies to teachers? Print off several of these and do a paired learning walk with another member of staff. Are they being used? How effective are the strategies included? If you talk to the teacher; what is their view? How could you better support them? Does it differ depending on the subject area?
