I’d agree- the SALT. Also look at Equals / Peter Imray who asks whether sometimes we require students to use Pecs over communication strategies they already have that work fine (eg not letting them have another sandwich until they tap the symbol when anyone else would just reach out and take it) that might actually deter them from believing their communication is heard and valued, and worth repeating.

Imray also has some thoughts on who PECS is most suitable for – he says one thing like P8 and above, not engagement model. Quite thought provoking.
