Each centre must approve the assessor who tests for exam access arrangements. It is NEVER the case that a diagnostic report or any assessments administered by a person not approved by the centre can be used to make an online application. This means that in most cases for GCSE a private diagnostic report cannot be used – it only has value for background information and possibly if in very rare cases where a child does not achieve low enough scores for automatic approval of EAA and you have to write a referral to the exam board and appeal.
All tests as previously stated must be administered by a qualified and centre-approved assessor no earlier than year 9.
This is regardless as to where her any other report exists- old or new. The form 8 states that the person filling in the second part, ie the scores, must be qualified, must be centre-approved and must have personally administered the tests.
I hope this helps!
