Many SENCOs have a TLR or an additional SEN allowance. Do you have the Senco qualification? It may be easier to get an extra allowance if you have got the qualification.

You don’t always have to pay SENCOs more
There’s no payment or allowance specifically designed for special educational needs coordinators (SENCOs) under the STPCD and you don’t have to award a pay increase to a newly qualified SENCO.
However, a SENCO may be eligible for 2 other types of additional payments:
Teaching and learning responsibility (TLR) payments
Special educational needs (SEN) allowances
