Hi,

I started as an HLTA at a large secondary school in September. It is a very similar job to HLTA at a primary school. We take intervention groups, cover lessons and support other TAS. I also look through data, and with the help of the SEND, decide which children need which intervention – mostly around literacy. I also do a bit of testing and screening. I really enjoy my job and the students are great.

If you get a chance then I’d say – take it!
