I WHOLE SCHOOL APPROACH IS BEST.
Try looking at the primary needs first and see if they are really being met, therapeutic intervention and engagement. If they are disengaged the approaches are not productive.
Wellness, art therapies, counselling – get EP’s in to train all staff to be on the same page and roll out the streamlined approach. Revisit the curriculum too.
Revise the behaviour policy – look at your sanctions and how adults conduct themselves as professionals.
Its a massive change and you need to take it step by step, provide time for everyone to team build as this is very important.
Speak to your LA they should be able to provide some type of support and guidance on this. TA’s are really useful for emotion coaching too.
