Is there a reason you feel paranoid, possibly she is being supportive, as suggested perhaps suggest boundaries, she should chase up if staff are not doing what you have asked etc. I understand where you are coming from in that you want to feel that your voice and expectations are enough and not need the back up for things to be implemented.
