Just to confirm everything Gillian has just said. What led to the assessment if there was no support for GCSE sometimes a student struggles to write the alphabet due to a slow processing difficulty and how often do we ask older students to write out the alphabet. It can just be a low score due to repetition as many students always go back to the beginning of the alphabet when they loose their place.
